Kind words from our dancers and their parents
Both of my daughter's have been dancing since they were 18 months old. My eldest went to a dance school that never progressed her skills and held her back. The defining moment was when we were at Swan Lake and after the first act she told me that she wanted to dance like the ballerinas. I told her that she would have to move dance schools in order to achieve her goals.
We then researched and trialed numerous schools. As soon as she entered Miss Lisa's class she felt at home and loved it immediately. As a PE teacher I have observed many lessons and I have to say that the standard of teaching at Lois Booth is second to none.
There is an open door policy, so as long as you respect the studio rules, you may watch your children thrive. The teaching is firm as you would expect from an RAD school, but also calm, encouraging, welcoming and most importantly of the best possible standard. My daughters have been welcomed with open arms by Miss Lisa, Miss Michele and Miss Rachel and they always want to do their best for all of the children. The exam results are fantastic and the shows are always amazing.
My girls love their dance school as in their words "everyone is kind, always smiling and encourages us to do our best" I would not take my girls anywhere else as Lois Booth is quite simply the best school for children to grow!
I have been a member of Lois booth school of dance since the age of 4, taking part in ballet, tap and modern. I can honestly say the school is my second family, I absolutely love all my classes. The school is friendly, relaxed and very welcoming, all students love attending and this shows in the outstanding exam results which everyone manages to achieve.
I am now 18 and leaving to go to uni, my classes and my friends are the one thing I will truly miss although miss Lisa won't be able to get rid of me that easily as I'll be joining in every time I am home. The school has inspired me to become a dance teacher and hopefully one day I'll be teaching alongside Miss Lisa.
My 7 year old daughter has been going dancing since she was 2 1/2. When she 1st went she was very introverted but is full of confidence now. She looks forward to going dancing and gets upset when there is none. She has done 3 lots of exams and received distinctions in her tap and modern ones. At the moment we are awaiting the results of her 2nd ballet ones. She takes great pleasure in showing people her dances especially anything new she has learnt.
Lisa and Michelle are very warm and welcoming and create a lovely friendly atmosphere where not only do children enjoy going to dance, and the parents are made welcome but Lisa and Michelle have a close bond with them. I would highly recommend Lisa and Michelle to anyone wishing to get their child into Ballet, Modern or tap dancing as I do not think they could find anyone better.
